The Boy with the Bullet Holes

Time transfixed; the painting hums kinetic, sandwiched as it is between the leaves of the glossy art book in the school library in the past.
The locomotive hangs steaming from the fireplace below the mirror, its smoke a solid path to the chimney. The black clock on the mantelpiece reads seventeen minutes to one. The mirror reflects nothing of the room. The candlesticks at either end of the mantelpiece hold no candles. The grain in the floorboards stands out in paranoid detail.
Time transfixed, devoid of feeling, life of no consequence – a place outside of human experience.

Time Transfixed - Rene Magritte
It is impossible to confine guns to any laws or rules; there is always another bullet in the chamber; another finger on the trigger; another victim to fall; another chance to add your tragedy to the piles of rotting newsprint, eyewitness reporting, fading photographs and memories.

on that note i guess i have to whole heartedly agree to all guns should be gone but what of arrows and blow darts some people still use to hunt there food ????To bad we cant find a true balance with or with out guns to not fear the unknown not to fear walking down a street at night a fear of being bombed in our beds or robbed in our sleep to a endless sheep of the matrix and games where the world goes by till it to late and the earth has lost her soul riped apart by greed .

Once again that puts me at odds with you Pisces. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Unless you're willing to live in a sterile plastic bubble this World has risks and I would prefer to have the means necessary to take care of a precarious situation swiftly rather than jeopardizing my family waiting for the Police to show up.

I had to delete and edit because I spelled jeopardize wrong. Something came over me and forced me to spell it jeopardise.

I'm sorry elastic, but an aphorism does not an argument make.

I was hoping that the 'people kill people' phrase isn't as overused in New Zealand as it is here and that I would appear somewhat clever for citing it. I guess not.

People DO KILL PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!! if a gun layed there 100 years it would never aim itself at humans and kill but get one crazy human who has no care for anothers life or the lifes who harming another will afect and thats who kills uncaring humans who lead others with lies and dis ease try again .PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE !!!!!! dont you get it its when people can become humain in all things that we have a chance its when you do nothing but talk and judge others is when you are lost to the game of death.
