If This is Wisdom, Then My Cock's a Kipper

Asphyxia ~ Jason Levesque

First Steps

We must always remain
The safety net
Not there to cushion a fall
Since it is only by falling
That we understand what it means to stand
Not there to cushion
But only to prevent the unthinkable

When We Were Young

It was once called ‘The Generation Gap’
A catchword that means both nothing
And everything
A catch-all for the myriad of reasons
Why our children find us alien
As we found our own parents
When we were young

Aphorism

While your mouth is moving you are not listening
Except to yourself
We are born to ask questions
We must learn to listen for the answers

I Know What I’m Talking About

While we speak from experience
We speak in big words
Experience that is not yet theirs to use
Experience that is ours to sprinkle
Like dust
On the heads of our children

We Aim to Please

We are imperfect beings
We are children ourselves
And if we are guilty of anything
It is pretending to know what we are doing
Guilty of believing in ourselves

would not want to condemn your cock to kipperdom, so i shall simply note that your internal puzzling in word and from continue to be marvelous.
