like a runner in black and white
french new wave cool
your feet treadmill cobbled street
your heart seeks to beat
in dreams we run like heroes
the ground beneath our feet
nothing in our heads

I hear you whisper freedom

Haha, nice.
Although I do find it odd that most FNW directors site a couple of Americans as the primary influence on the genre.
Jeff: may be so but those influences would be stylistic rather than philosophic ;]
Perfect!

your usual minimalist approach to complexity.... wonderful.
Gewll: glad you approve :D
dw: counted ;]
Harlequin: minimalism is all we can afford - time is precious :)
I'd give my right arm to see a debate on the origin of French Modern Art between you and Jeffscape . . no really!
Baino: Ha! you'd probably lose both arms in the fray :D
Oops... read this one.
By the way, you're incorrect. The philosophies of Samuel Fuller and Morris Engel (both American) were the direct antecedents of FNW. Both Moullet and Godard are on record as stating so.
American pop culture is not the whole of American art.
Jeff: Bearing in mind the influence the French existentialists and with the proviso that Fuller was the son of Jewish Russian and Engel of German descent - I submit to your greater knowledge here :)
