Perhaps I should add (for those citizens of police states other than this one) that families in London have been threatened with eviction from their council homes because their children were involved in the riots

Titanium: I cannot take credit for the cartoon, but I do agree with the sentiment.
the line: "police states other than this one" struck a chord with me. we are all so close to that line and it takes so little for that line to be crossed. these are scary times... and double standards are always so disgusting.
