Out of His Mind: Phase I ~ Portal

Mark Rothko ~ Red on Maroon

my space is spherical and vaguely translucent. the light is soft and warm; like sunlight through the window on a cold day.
with the exception of the basic shape, these parameters can, if i so choose, be changed.
suffice to say that within my space there are an infinite number of possible activities; restricted only to my own imagination and by my ability to learn new skills.
and it is the learning that takes time [a resource of which i seem to have a lot of], given that there are no instruction manuals for that which you do not know that you do not know.
i remember the moment i opened my eyes to my new berth, remember my immediate relief at the absence of pain; for pain was the only memory i carried with me.
this euphoria lasted for i don’t know how long; at least until i learned how to retrieve the memories of my past; and perhaps some time beyond that.
my past with all the months of clinical pain and sleep riddled horror; family faces etched with concern, anger and later unspeakable acceptance of the inevitable.
pain, pain and morphine layered pain.
all gone.
but i get ahead of myself in the tumble to record my thoughts in this electronic journal that i have created from the rules that, in this space, govern thought and allow the transition from thought into form.
it has taken aeons for me to understand this process; to master the {interface}; for each new skill leads to yet another room in the labyrinth of my existence.

Ah a very appropriate choice of paintings. I went to the Rothko exhibition at the Tate yesterday. Dunno what kept me away until the penultimate day as I love his work

James: i must admit I never quite 'got' Rothko until I watched Simon Sharma's 'The power of art'

"pain, pain and morphine layered pain./ all gone."

pisces, kindly teach me this skill, that which i do not know that i do not know... xoxoxoxo ~lt

ps. i sometimes feel if i could only decipher the verification words like some mystic ancient language, the secret of the universe would be revealed to me. then i remember that they are computer generated. today's was "unsperst". sounds deep...

Candie: Phases II and onward will appear periodically - this series is actually one of the strands that run through "Markov Chain" which can be read in its entirety here
Laura: I think "unsperst" describes something that was previously scattered but has now been picked up ;)

The painting and the words work in a perfect harmony of form and abstract journeying. Rich and wonderful words, as always, Pisces, but I suspect you may be getting sick and tired of me saying that! ;-)

Regretably, today's word-veri sounds decidedly unmystical - momshoy. I mean, really.

lololol, vanille! could be mystical, but sounds more like a mushroom! sorry, couldn't help myself. btw, i loved your take on unsperst, pisces! xoxox

Surely someone somwhere (with too much time on their hands) has started up a word-verification dictionary?

great idea, pisces! i do have a lot of time but used to dream that i would eventually write a dictionary to explain my own obtuse usage of the king's language. of course, i thought then that i would be "somebody" by now but i'm still "nobody". thus, perhaps your idea would have more universal appeal. would be a money maker! you'd be very good at it. :>>))

The Far Queue Dictionary includes the an entry under "Pffft!": which states that "nobody is nobody".

Back for another yarn.

By the way, do you code those menus yourself?

Garth said...

Jeff: Yes - all menu's coded myself (he who answers 9 years later)

So happy to receive an email from you today, Pisces. Nine years later, your words sing, and our banter entertains. Miss and love you! ~Laura xooxoxo

Hey Laura!
We miss you too (Pisces & I) - Hope all is well and you're still creating.
