Anglian Sky - Midwinter

there’s a moment
when the rising birds change
from white against the trees' dark silhouette
to black against the orange graduating to stratospheric blue sky
just sunset

The birds here are confused by the snow in our usually dry desert weather. They don't know if they should fly from their winter marshlands, or find somewhere near by to land. They flew in circles for hours poor things!
Now this fabulous bit of your word work posted here... sets me mind on fire!
Cheers to a new year!
